We're Here for Your Most Pressing Dental Needs

Every dental emergency is unique. Your care will depend on what's causing your pain or damage. Our goal is always to relieve discomfort, protect your health, and preserve your natural tooth. Here are some of the treatments we may recommend during your emergency visit:

  • Rebuild a Damaged Tooth - If a tooth has chipped, cracked, or broken due to trauma or decay, we can restore its structure. Your dentist will use a tooth-colored filling, partial crown, or full dental crown. All options are designed to restore strength, function, and comfort.
  • Stop Infections - Infections can cause sudden swelling, sensitivity, or intense pain. We'll assess the source and provide the appropriate treatment. Your dentist will focus on saving the tooth and stopping the spread of infection.
  • Gently Remove a Tooth - If a tooth is severely damaged or infected beyond repair, we may recommend a gentle extraction. This is always our last option. We'll take every measure to keep the procedure as comfortable and stress-free as possible.
  • Restore a Missing Tooth - If a tooth is knocked out and can't be reimplanted, we can help you restore your smile with a long-term solution. Depending on your needs, we may recommend a dental bridge or plan for a custom implant restoration.

Call us at 770-525-9245 for an appointment with your emergency dentist in Marietta. We'll help you feel better quickly with gentle and judgment-free care.

Read Why Our Patients Love Us

Jennifer was fantastic today. I had been neglectful with my dental hygiene. She had a lot of plaque to remove and she got it with a professional and gentle touch. Jennifer also took time to educate me on my future habits. Thanks Insight Dental!

From the receptionist at the front, Chloe, she’s always so patient with me to answer my insurance questions and get everybody scheduled. We absolutely love the dental hygienist and assistants- Jamie and Quitta are so fun and so patient with my kids. They’re very kind, friendly and professional. Dr. Johnson and Dr. Sheets are so kind, so professional and knowledgeable. We came from traumatic experiences at a prior dentist and they have been so good with each of my kids. I love that Dr. Johnson is airway focused, and supports expansion of the pallet and not just going straight to braces. We don’t use fluoride and they are supportive and never hassle us about it. Jamie the hygienist has even ordered us special toothpaste and polish without fluoride. I have four kids, three of them with Invisalign and we’ve had great success. My two-year-old was just seen today for his first happy gentle cleaning visit and the hygienist, Lasagna could not have been more perfect with him! Truly this is been the best dental experiences we have had over the last two years.

Hands down, the best customer service and expeditious appointments. I never wait. Jennifer did a great job on my cleaning. She was very knowledgeable of the trade and made suggestions for me to dry bush. Who would have ever thought but it makes since and should help between my cleanings.

Common Questions About Dental Emergencies

What qualifies as a dental emergency?

Dental emergencies include any situation that involves pain, swelling, bleeding, or trauma to the teeth or gums. Common examples include cracked or broken teeth, knocked-out teeth, abscesses, severe toothaches, and lost fillings or crowns. If you're unsure, give us a call. We'll let you know whether you should come in right away or schedule a next-available appointment.

Can you save a tooth that’s been knocked out?

Yes, if it's treated quickly. A knocked-out tooth has the best chance of being saved if it's reinserted within 30 to 60 minutes. Gently rinse the tooth (don't scrub it), keep it moist in milk or saliva, and call our office immediately. We'll walk you through what to do and prepare for your arrival.

Will I need a follow-up after my emergency visit?

In many cases, yes. Emergency care focuses on immediate relief and stabilization, but a follow-up visit may be needed to place a permanent crown, treat gum disease, or fully restore your tooth. Before you leave, we'll explain any next steps and schedule follow-up care that works for your schedule.
